A highly successful financial services company was experiencing delays in filling a critical role within its human resources function. The role required an experienced talent and organization development professional to provide leadership and continuity to a team responsible for significant deliverables to the business. This team had also recently experienced several transitions of staff moving within the organization or leaving it. The team needed continuity, guidance and support to continue to deliver value to the organization.
Patina provided a director-level organization development professional with broad experience in several sectors, including financial services, to perform the duties and responsibilities of the Director of Talent and Organization Development on an interim basis for more than two months. In addition, the Patina Professional was charged with drafting the 2013 operating plan and budget for the talent and organization function.
Our Patina Professional performed the day-to-day duties of the Director while also providing the specific guidance and expertise required to support delivering key initiatives such as: the annual employee engagement survey; the first annual talent review process and toolkit; the system requirements for the proposed talent management system business case project; and a two- to three-year roadmap for leadership development.
The professional also completed a first draft of the function’s 2013 operating plan, project charters and operating budget, which were presented to the human resources leadership team to initiate the prioritization and funding processes. Our Patina Professional then facilitated the on-boarding of a permanent Director to ensure continuity and an accelerated assimilation.
