Bob Carlson brings 25+ years of experience to lead company's Chicago office
Patina Solutions has appointed Bob Carlson as managing partner of its Chicago office.
"An outstanding sales executive, Bob's impressive professional services background and strong leadership skills will be key to leading and continuing to grow our highly successful Chicago office," said Mike Harris, CEO of Patina Solutions. "Having known and worked with Bob for many years, I am pleased to have him on our management team, helping us proactively bring solutions to our clients' business challenges."
Carlson has more than 25 years of experience in the professional services industry. As managing partner for Patina Solutions, he is responsible for all aspects of the firm's Chicago operation, which is one of the company's fastest-growing offices.
"I am looking forward to helping companies achieve their objectives with the help of the highly experienced professionals in Patina Solutions' Portfolio of Talent®," said Carlson. "From project-based work to interim executive roles to mentoring up-and-coming leaders, the caliber of our professionals and our completely flexible approach allow us to help our clients do more with less, which is something from which all companies can benefit."
Prior to joining Patina Solutions, Carlson held and succeeded in a number of senior executive positions with companies such as ADP, General Electric Co. (GE) and Alternative Resources Company (ARC). He held a variety of increasingly responsible roles with ARC, starting as the general manager of the Chicago office and eventually being named Chief Operating Officer and a member of the Board of Directors.
After working for ARC, Carlson took the role of executive vice president of the Information Services Division of MSX International, an engineering and technology services company, where he was responsible for managing a $400 million division made up of 11 different subsidiaries located in North America, Europe and Asia.
Carlson left MSX to join Mike Harris, Patina Solutions' CEO and co-founder, in starting SilverTrain, an IT consulting and solutions business that grew to more than $10 million in sales. Since then, and just prior to joining Patina Solutions, he owned and managed an executive search firm in Austin, Texas. Carlson earned his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Sacred Heart University.
