Patina Solutions, a firm that provides proven, accomplished executives and managers with 25+ years of experience for key projects, engagements and initiatives, has opened its 10th U.S. office, which is located in Southeastern Michigan. The company welcomes Michigan native Jennifer Johnson to lead the operation.
"At Patina Solutions, we are driving a change in approach to address talent gaps and to solve complex business problems for global organizations," said Susan Gallagher, Chief Operating Officer at Patina Solutions. "Jennifer has the background and drive to lead our launch in Michigan and to integrate Michigan with the rest of our business."
Johnson brings 15 years of experience serving the global automotive industry through a rich career built within the Automotive Experience business unit of Johnson Controls. Prior to joining Patina Solutions, Johnson was President of Intertec Systems, a $200 million joint venture company between Johnson Controls and INOAC, a privately held Japanese industrial firm. Based in Plymouth, Michigan, Intertec Systems designs and manufactures instrument panels for the North American automotive market.
"I am thrilled to join a fast-paced growth organization where I can help add value to our clients’ growth," said Johnson. "Patina Solutions offers only proven, accomplished professionals to clients seeking expertise for an explicit need such as a key strategic initiative, a project-based activity or an interim executive. Because Patina Professionals work in highly flexible arrangements, clients are able to accomplish more with less, an outcome that all companies value."
"We are delighted to launch Patina Solutions in Southeastern Michigan to enable locally based companies to more effectively execute and deliver improved results," said Mike Harris, CEO of Patina Solutions. "Jennifer is a terrific addition to our leadership team."
Prior to Intertec Systems, Johnson drove business transformation efforts through the design and facilitation of a global change program for the $4B automotive interiors business of Johnson Controls. In addition, as Managing Director in the Automotive Seating business, she was responsible for commercial performance and customer satisfaction in delivery, cost, quality, and launch execution for $300 million in annual sales of just-in-time seating systems and core seat structures. Experienced working across North America, Europe, and Asia, Johnson held several other roles within Johnson Controls in areas of strategic planning, account finance management, continuous improvement, and product engineering.
Johnson is a co-founder of the Women’s Resource Network - Michigan Chapter and is an active coach in the Southeastern Michigan chapter of Girls On the Run non-profit organization. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Kettering University (formerly GMI Engineering and Management Institute) and a Master’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Michigan.
